Doing Good, Well
Find me Faithful helps generous givers use their worldly resources to advance God’s kingdom. As followers of Christ, we are called to feed the hungry, bless those who have been marginalized, tend to the Earth, care for animals, and most importantly: love our neighbors. Accredited givers are uniquely poised to use their time, talents, and treasure toward these ends. Through conversations and research, we have found that generous Christians strive for faithful stewardship of their resources – resources which ultimately belong to God. As Christians act generously, they often experience a greater purpose, a deeper sense of hope and gratitude, and freedom from money’s vise. Generosity helps Christians to do justice, love mercy, and walk humbly with our God, but the process of seeking out organizations and charities can be overwhelming. That’s where we come in. At Find me Faithful, we help donors find organizations that are worthy recipients of their resources — organizations that honestly and effectively advance the kingdom of God.
As for the rich in this present age, charge them not to be haughty, nor to set their hopes on the uncertainty of riches, but on God, who richly provides us with everything to enjoy. They are to do good, to be rich in good works, to be generous and ready to share, thus storing up treasure for themselves as a good foundation for the future, so that they may take hold of that which is truly life.
1 Tim 6:17-19
One of our goals is to awaken the joy of generosity in Christian donors by removing the barriers that prevent cheerful giving. It is difficult to be a cheerful giver when you discover the orphanage you have been sponsoring doesn’t exist, or you have donated thousands of dollars to a nonprofit that spends most of it on the CEO’s salary. And some organizations have beautiful dreams but aren’t truly accomplishing what they set out to accomplish. Before we recommend or work with an organization, we engage in extensive research so that you know exactly how your resources are being used and who they are helping. We learn how much goes to overhead and how much goes toward the actual work – we learn what the real impact of your donation will be, and we ensure the ministry will communicate that impact in an effective way back to you. We believe that all donors should be confident that their resources are helping to shape the change they hope for.
Each one must give as he has decided in his heart, not reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver. And God is able to make all grace abound to you, so that having all sufficiency in all things at all times, you may abound in every good work.
